Anderson Silva comes off his third professional boxing victory after viciously knocking out Tito Ortiz in the very first round. The former UFC middleweight champion looked loose and comfortable from the start.

Known for his formidable counter-attacking ability, “The Spider” quickly found the perfect opening to land a clean left hook that visibly knocked Ortiz out. And a quick follow hook was more than enough to send his fellow MMA star crashing into the canvas.

Interestingly, both opponents had to weigh 195 pounds for the fight. However, Ortiz seemed skeptical from the start and weighed 200 pounds. Anderson Silva once again took the world of combat sports by storm, displaying an ability to learn and grow even at the age of forty-six.

While preparing for the fight, Tito Ortiz shot Anderson Silva, mocking the legend for planning to use his “Magic Wung Chun, Bruce Lee b *** s ** t” against him during their boxing match. While ‘The Spider’ did not respond to Ortiz’s disrespectful comment at the press conference, he subtly responded to his defeated opponent in the post-fight interview.

“I’m training hard for this fight, you know. I train hard to show my respect for the boxing world. And I continue to work every day to prove my respect for martial arts and Wing Chun and Bruce Lee. You can appreciate Anderson Silva’s sense of humor. The legend has been keen to let his performance speak first and will look to do the same against his future boxing opponents.

What’s next for Anderson Silva?

At forty-six, Anderson Silva seems to have found the fountain of youth. A split decision win over former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. And now a knockout win over Tito Ortiz makes it clear his fighting days are far from over.

In fact, the internet has already started to buzz with names for its next opponent. Fans called on “The Spider” to take on one of the Paul brothers. Maybe a fight with Jake Paul could be on the cards next?

Another big fight would be against Vitor Belfort, who has now started his professional boxing career with a victory over Evander Holyfield.
