KARGIL, November 6: The Kargil 12th District Taekwondo Championship ended at the indoor stadium here today.
About 10 clubs with 150 players took part in the district championship.
Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah, secretary general of the district association was the chief guest, while DYSSO activities manager Kargil, Mohd Yousuf and secretary general of Anayat Ali Ladakh Taekwondo Association were the guests of honor and the Govt Model Middle School Biathang School principal, Shamma Kazimi was the special guest.
Syed Mehraj Ud Din Shah said that sports has a great opportunity as a sector and our players can have a better and brighter future if they focus on their respective game. Mohammad Yousuf ensured all possible assistance from the department during any event organized by the Kargil Taekwondo Association.
The guest of honor presented the equipment donated by the Taekwondo Association of the Korean Cultural Center New Delhi Ladakh.
Later, the main guest and other guests distributed medals and souvenirs to players, officials and guests.
