How We Won Gold At The PH Karate Championship – Coach

Rivers United FC Port Harcourt technical director Stanley Eguma has praised his players for their impressive performance against visiting Nasarawa United.
United beat their opponents 2-1 in Round 15 of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) on Saturday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Eguma, praised his players in his post-match interview with sportswriters, shortly after his team secured all three points on the line.
According to him, if their good experience and good character didn’t show on the pitch during the game, the game might have turned out differently, but they got a good result.
“We bet on a good fighting spirit to secure the three points. My players in the second half showed a certain level of fatigue.
“It was a good game but without the good character and experience of my players, the result could have been different.
They showed good fighting spirit to secure the victory and the three points. I congratulate them,” Eguma said.
The technical manager explained that there is still room for improvement in his players’ abilities, adding that the technical team is still working on all departments to achieve perfection.
Pride of Rivers took the lead in the 23rd minute through Chijioke Akuneto, assisted by Nyima Nwagua and Ishaq Kayode’s strike; made two to make it 10 on the season, while the Solid Miners cut it to 2-1 in the 72nd minute by Michael Tochukwu.
Also speaking, Nasarawa United FC head coach Bala Nikiyu called the match good, adding that his players performed well.
He stressed that football is about winning and losing, saying no team is perfect when it comes to the NPFL.
“Whether you lose to a good team or a bad team, loss is loss and victory is victory.
The league is still open. I think the league is going well,” Nikiyu said.
