Markus Vossi’s new book “Parnassus” describes unique human experiences with fresh poetry

Raw experiences must be defined and give them form and form. Taking up such experiences and giving them poetic form, Markus Vossi, who recently published his new book, “Parnassus, Selected Writing and Poems”. The book summarizes the experiences, observations and moments of realization that a human undergoes during his life. Additionally, the book reflects on the importance of a true heart and how it leads to the emergence of the true self.

“This book is a series of poetry written in a style where I have experienced the word, and like all poetry, it has become something in and of itself,” said Markus Vossi.

The book connects the poems seen through the eyes of an observer of the adventure that is life. The author aims to create a sense of awakening mind, soul and body through his work. In the introduction, Markus also refers to Basho, a revered poet from the Edo period in Japan. He says: “It is the spirit of Basho that moves his legs during his journey that has enabled him to achieve many achievements and poems.”

California has always been a place of comfort for Markus. It was here that he spent his childhood learning the language and training in arts like Kenpo, Wing-Chun, Jeet-Kune-Do, wrestling, Bujinkahn, etc. Throughout his journey, Markus has focused on the journey to grow, develop and strengthen his inner self. Years later, her mantra of knowing herself remains the same. Currently, he is sharing his knowledge as an English teacher at a high school in Northern California.

Parnassus, in his verses, manages to bring together feelings that humans often fail to hear or say. It aims to detach art from the barriers of language. The book serves as an anthology of human experiences that shine like mirrors in a kaleidoscope. The light here is the poetry that embodies natural experiences with a natural rhythm.
