Son of Syed Salahuddin, Wife of Bitta Karate Among 4 Employees Sacked by Government of J&K | Latest India News

The action comes just two days before India marks its 75th Independence Day.

Jammu and Kashmir’s government has sacked four employees – including the wife of Hizbul Mujahideen leader Syed Salahuddin and separatist leader Bitta Karate – as part of an investigation into terror links, officials said on Saturday.

Dr Muheet Ahmad Bhat and Majid Hussain Qadiri – both linked to the University of Kashmir – are two others who have been made redundant.

The action was taken under Section 311 of the Constitution, under which the government can fire its service employees without investigation, officials said.

Assabah-ul-Arjamand Khan, wife of Bitta Karate, would be assigned to the Directorate of Rural Development. She served as an administrative services officer in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bitta Karate aka Farooq Ahmed Dar – who faces terrorism charges – is also accused of murdering Kashmiri pundits.

Syed Abdul Mueed, who worked for the Department of Information and Technology in the Department of Industries and Commerce, is the son of the leader of the Pakistani terrorist group Hizbul Mujahideen, Syed Salahuddin.
