During a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, mixed martial artist and Ultimate Fighting Championship star Stephen Thompson revealed that he and former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley will be featured in Cobra Kai Season 5, although he didn’t talk too much about what their roles would entail.

” I spoke with [Woodley] not too much time to do a little Cobra Kai Things. I can’t really say too much, but we were there hanging out, and yes the beef was crushed, ”said Thompson. “Since then he’s been awesome and fun to hang out with while we were there. I didn’t have a chance to hang out with him a ton, but while we were there on the set.

Thompson confirmed that it was an acting role and that it was a natural fit given his background as a karateka. “I’m known as the karate guy [in UFC], so everyone was like, ‘Hey, man. When are you going to do the Cobra Kai thing?’ … I can’t really say too much, but be careful.

Season 4 of Cobra Kai will most likely deal with the aftermath of the action-packed season three finale, where fans last saw Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso team up to defeat John Kreese at the All Valley Karate Tournament. However, as they formed their new alliance, it appears that Kreese also enlisted his old friend to help him defeat Johnny and Daniel. The new season will also introduce new characters in the form of Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny and Oona O’Brien as Devon.

In Cobra Kai, Ralph Macchio and William Zabka revisit their star roles in the iconic film franchise, The Karate Kid. Epic opponents return to the dojo, thirty years after the events of the 1984 All Valley karate tournament. A depressed Johnny Lawrence (Zabka) seeks to redeem himself by reopening the infamous karate dojo Cobra Kai, reigniting his rivalry with Daniel LaRusso ( Macchio), now successful, who struggles to maintain balance in his life without the guidance of his mentor, Mr. Miyagi.
