The 24th Jammu District Taekwondo C’ship begins

JAMMU, September 23: Dr SM Bali, Senior Vice President of the Indian Taekwondo Association, inaugurated the 24th District Jammu Taekwondo Championship, hosted by the J&K Taekwondo Association (JKTA) at the Dogra Parade Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, here today.
During the championship, all medalists from all age groups will be selected for the next UT level championships. About 300 athletes from 10 clubs are expected to participate in the championship.
Prabnoor Singh, Naksh Sharma, Aaradik Samotra, Aayan Kabya, Ritwik Raina, Safwah, Arya Jamwal, Taisha Magotra, Aradhya, Shanzay Sayeed, Druv Sharma, Balwinder, Sanjeev Kumar, Sanchit Sharma, Gavish Sharma, Kanhyani, and Nidal Beauty Ishika Jamwal, Ritambra Sharma and Ishmeet Kour were among the gold medalists in the Pee-Wee and Sub-Junior categories (boys and girls), while the silver medals were won by Harjas Singh, Palk Devi, Rajveer Singh Bhau, Divyansh Singh, Aditya Jamwal, Ankur Kumar, Madhav Saini, Yashika Sharma, Satwinder Kaur and Divjot Kour.
Hargun Kour, Faizan, Ritik Kumar, Atul Kumar, Ishmeet Singh, Nirbhay Jamwal, Ashsan, Shiv Sharma and Gokul Sharma won bronze medals.
Vice President SM Bali was the guest of honor at the opening ceremony, while JKTA DN President Pangotra and Subash Shastri, National President Majdoor Sang were the guests of honor and Ramesh Chander Sharma, Anuj Sharma were special guests in addition to Vikrant Narwalia chairing the function.
Vinod Grewal, Nitish Anand, Rashmi Gupta, Narinder Sharma, Tarun Sharma, Amit Kumar and Arslaan Ahmad were among the referees for the event.
