But who are these men and why are they held responsible for creating terror among the Pandits of Kashmir?

Who is Yasin Malik?

Yasin Malik was the chairman of the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF). According to reports, he spoke for the separation of Kashmir from India and Pakistan. Reports also indicate that Malik decided to rebel after witnessing violence by Indian security forces in 1980.

Later, Malik formed the Tala party which was responsible for printing and disturbing political articles and posters. In 1983, the party also attempted to disrupt the first international cricket match in Srinagar during the West Indies cricket team’s tour of India. Following the incident, Malik was arrested and imprisoned for four months.

After Malik’s release, the Tala party renamed itself the Islamic Students’ League (ISL) and appointed Malik as its general secretary. The party then joined the Muslim United Front (MUF) in 1987 for the assembly elections.

After the elections, Yasin moved to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir and later returned to India in 1989 and became a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, after which he killed four army members. Indian air. It is said that he was also among the separatist leaders who carried out the genocide of the Pandits of Kashmir in the 90s.

Who is Bitta Karate?

Farooq Ahmed Dar aka Bitta Karate was handpicked by then JKLF Commander-in-Chief Ashfaq Majeed Wani for armed training in PoK. He received armed training at a state-sponsored terrorist training camp for over a month. It has become synonymous with the killings of Kashmiri pandits in the valley.
